Abstract:

In 2011–2022, the Saker Falcon (Falco cherrug) population in the Czech Republic fluctuated between 2 and 10 breeding pairs. In total, 64 breeding events were recorded, 42 of them were successful and 105 young were reared. The average breeding productivity was 1.6 juveniles/nest and 2.5 juveniles/successful nest. Sakers concentrated to the Pannonian part of the country, breeding at the three known localities in Bohemia finished in 2013. In comparison with former periods, number of pairs was lower, but some pairs apparently moved to neighbouring Austrian areas.
